A creative lab between two fashion capitals<\/h2>\n

Two of the most influential fashion capitals, Milan and Paris<\/strong>, come together in a joint project spotlighting sustainability in menswear. The Green Light is a true design marathon, held from June 16 to 18, 2025, born from the collaboration between Ferrari Fashion School<\/a> (Milan), IFA Paris and LOFT by Galleria Fumagalli.<\/a>
\nThe initiative offers an intense educational, creative and cultural experience dedicated to upcycling and conscious design.<\/p>\n

An upcycling marathon led by sustainable fashion professionals<\/h2>\n

At the heart of the project is an intensive upcycling workshop involving Fashion Design students from both academies: on one side, young talents from Milan\u2019s Ferrari Fashion School<\/strong>, and on the other, students from IFA Paris.<\/strong>
\nThe goal? To breathe new life into discarded garments through a process of creative regeneration<\/strong>\u2014an exercise in design and a strong stance: the fashion of the future must be sustainable.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Milan-based workshop is led by Giusy Liguori,<\/strong> designer and lecturer specializing in circular fashion, and Gilberto Calzolari<\/strong>, winner of the Green Carpet Fashion Award \u2013 Franca Sozzani Prize in 2018 and today one of the most recognized voices of ethical fashion in Italy.<\/p>\n

A project that promotes international dialogue<\/h2>\n

\u201cThe Green Light stems from an international collaboration that enhances dialogue between different cultures and design visions,\u201d<\/em> explains Anna Lottersberger, DEAN<\/strong> of Ferrari Fashion School.
\n\u201cSharing a learning experience between Milan and Paris means providing students with real tools to face a fashion industry that today demands deep environmental and cultural awareness.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Alongside the hands-on workshops, students also join talks and online conferences curated together with IFA Paris, featuring international guests and a focus on innovative models of responsible production.
\n\u201cSustainability must move beyond theory\u2014it has to become part of everyday design practice,\u201d<\/em> says Jean-Baptiste Andreani, General Director of<\/strong> IFA Paris.<\/strong> \u201cThis collaboration is a concrete example of how fashion can be a fertile ground for the exchange of ideas, values and cultures.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

From workshop to exhibition at Galleria Fumagalli<\/h2>\n

From June 19 to 22<\/strong>, the results of the creative marathon will be presented to the public in an exhibition at Galleria Fumagalli,<\/strong> in the heart of Milan\u2019s Brera district (Via Bonaventura Cavalieri 6), during Milan Fashion Week Men’s.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibition is part of the LOFT \u2013 Light On Future Topics program<\/strong>, the curatorial project launched by the gallery to promote dialogue between visual arts, architecture, theatre, cinema, photography, design and fashion.
\n\u201cWe\u2019ve always supported expressions that speak to the present<\/em>,\u201d says Annamaria Maggi, Director of Galleria Fumagalli.<\/strong> \u201cWelcoming the work of these young designers allows us to reflect together on how art and fashion can jointly address the issue of environmental impact.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Public opening during Milan Fashion Week<\/h2>\n

The public opening of the exhibition will take place on June 19, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM,<\/strong> and will be a moment of shared experience open to the city\u2014an opportunity to discover the visions of emerging creatives and the potential of reuse as an aesthetic and cultural language.<\/p>\n
